I have a 2009 Rogue with cloth seats. The drivers seat near the bottom left hip area is wearing and starting to come apart. Has anyone else had this problem? Thank you for any info.

My 09 Rogue's seat was like new after 3 years. If it is a particular spot, it usually relates to lifestyle. Some common items to cause fraying in no time.
Cell phone holster with a rough edge
Velcro - Worse enemy for fabric seats. A small area of uncovered Velcro on clothing pockets or cell phone holster could destroy the seat in an hour. The problem is more and more casual wear and bags comes with Velcro closed pockets.
Keeping a large wallet or keys in the back pocket of the pants.

You mean here? This is my leather seat. This is the part of the seat you "hit" every time you get in and out of the car so it only makes sense that it is going to wear.

Yes that is the section that is wearing. If you look at the difference in construction of the Drivers Seart where it is wearing and then look at the Passenger seat in the same area you can see the difference in construction whereas getting in to the passenger seat you do not hit the area you do on the drivers side. Too bad the drivers seat was not built the same as the passenger side.

Which is why I invested in cheap seat covers. I have like 2 bench covers one on top of the other. Also REAL cheap and I didn't want to waste either of them. $40 investment for front seats and maybe less than $20 on back seats. Bench were either close outs or sale. My seats look like new under the covers too.

yes. This is first car that I haven't had leather seats in. What I just did with this Rogue to solve the problem with the seat where it is wearing, I bought two XXL Black T-shirts and stretched one over the Driver Seat and one over the Passenger Seat. Works nice and tight but in meantime Nissan Dealer took pictures and sending to Head Office to see if they will replace Drivers Seat.

hi my name is Dan. I own a 2011Nissan Rogue SV Brilliant silver with grey cloth interior. The front driver seat began fraying where your legs glide over the seat when exiting the car. The dealer replaced the seat bottom cover when the car had 11,000 miles. I now have the same problem at 27,000 miles and Nissan refused to replace the seat cover. I guess bumper to bumper till 36,000 miles isn't true.
I am wondering if other nissan rogue owners have had this problem ?

Welcome to our forum.

Yes, I have a 2011 Rogue as well and it started to wear. Actually tomorrow I was going to purchase a cheap cover for the bottom part of the seat. Due to the side airbags, I am scared to put a cover on the back of the seat.

We previously discussed that topic here:

You can always use the search feature of this forum.
