my driver window would not move more than a few inches up or down, so took off the door inside door cover and discovered that the wire had frayed and gotten all tangled up, the motor is working fine but i need the whole mech now. anyone know where i can get the replacement part and what its called.

thanks.Earl

I just had to pick up one myself. Got mine from Joe @ Scottsdale Infiniti, was about $120 IIRC. Easy install. You just need the regulator. The motor doesn't usually go bad.

The regulator is the sliding bar/cable assembly that attaches to the window and moves it up and down. The motor powers the regulator. I've got a few of each left but I'm not sure which one you need. Email me if you're interested.

The window mechanism is basically two parts, the motor and the regulator. The thing with all the pullies and cables is the regulator. The window bolts to it with a couple 10mm bolts. You take out the speaker and pull the whole regulator/motor assy out through that hole and swap the motor to the new regulator while it's out of the door.

Just be careful with the window after/while you are unbolting it.
