Driver window issues

my driver side window wouldnt go up or down with the switch....I could hook up the window to a battery and make it go up/down no problem...

so I switched the window amp (located behind the rear seats) and plug everything back in, then the window switch rolled the window 2/3 up, then it stopped and it wouldnt roll it back down

i lowered the window with a battery again, then retried the switch, and the same thing happened - 2/3 up, stop, no down

any solutions??thanks
