Alas, the ol' G is showing it's age. She still runs just fine so I'm going to do a couple of repairs that aren't really pressing. A few weeks ago the driver side window began malfunctioning. Sometimes it'd work and others not with the "not working" times more and more often. Looking at the FSM, it suggests the motor or the wiring harness as the likely culprits. Looking around the interwebs, I can find the motor new but the wiring harness seems more elusive. Any advice when it comes to replacing the motor?

The original CD player is following suit with the window. Works sometimes and sometimes, no dice. Any suggestions for its replacement? Are there aftermarket options that don't require changes to the original exterior look?

Window motors are known to go out. My passenger one needs replacing currently.

Ebay has the best price so far. And youtube has a video of the replacement.

A lot just get the circuits repaired/replaced on the OEM radios. There are some online places that will repair them, usually around $200 or so to fix. Here is one place: http://www.shortcircuitrepair.com/

I couldn't really give advice on the aftermarket options for the radio.

The window motor is not difficult to replace but be aware that they are side specific and the right side motor will not fir the left side and vice versa. There are videos on the web. It looks more daunting than it really is.

If you buy a used radio to replace the OEM radio, make sure you get a radio from the same year and model of your car, or get the trim piece with the radio. Sometimes the CD slots don't line up and that's bad.

You can get an aftermarket double DIN radio but it will no longer look OEM. It will look better. You'll need a few parts to replace the radio with an aftermarket radio.
