Driver side Window glass stuck

Hi,

Just when Im dealing with the intermittent stalling problem.. this happens!!!! I pulled the driver side window down at a light, half way down I hear a grind and a clunk!!! the window is stuck!! next i try the switch again it moves .. goes down ... and stays down. I can hear the whirr of the motor when i move the switch but the glass does not move. Is this a DIY job?? Anybody done this before?? I think its a mechanical failure. How do I remove the doors side panel to take a peek inside.. Help guys.. this tub is slowly siphoning my greenbacks out of my wallet!! I was planning to take my family out for the weekend.. :-(

Its the window regulator

What you can do to get it back up is put something on the rail, like a small pair of vice grips to hold it up until you can replace it.....

to take off the panel, slide back the armrest, 3 screws.. THen carefully take off the thing with the seat controls... one more screw i think, maybe two.... Then just carefully pop off the clips.....

Managed to get the glass up. Had to move the switch up and down and push the glass up manually. Did it some 10-15 times and the glass going up higher each time. Finally snapped into place ans stayed there. I have bundeled some plastic and paper and jammed the glass in place so that it does not come down. I need to probably re-open when I replace the regulator. Another weekend and 3 hours of work maybe.

Question: Is the white plastic piece I found part of the regulator???

Plastic piece is very likely a part of the regulator.

mine broke last week. bought one from junkyard for $50. took about 2 hours to remove and replace. lot easier than i thought. maybe 8 screws after i got panel off. plastic part is part of cable guide, i think
