So I got stuck out in the rain the other day and my driver side window went down but wouldn't come up.

I read about the amp issue so I found a thread to totally get rid of the amp using two of the multiuse relays. Part #r3074. I wired everything up just like the thread said.

My switch was also broken... So I glued the cracked piece back on and did the rubber band trick. Still nothing..

I figured maybe my motor stopped working so I tried to run power to it from the battery. Didn't work. I figured I needed a new motor so I pulled it out.. I figured I would test it again once it was out and guess what, it works...

I reinstalled the motor and hooked everything back up. Then the plan was to hot wire the window to the closed position and just not open it. When I did the same thing I did with the motor out, it would occasionally go down but never up. I'm basically stuck not knowing the problem. I'm about to take it to a garage and let them deal with it if I can't get any more ideas help please!

My fuse did blow under the hood. So i replaced it and it's in working order. Everything else seems to be working fine.

When you hotwired it installed back into the car, did you run both power and ground, or just power?

It almost sounds like a bad ground somewhere.

I just met with a small accident in Ogden , Layton road. The car's steering wheel is creating problem. although the car turns on !!! there was also a big crack in my windshield and rear door glass was not working, but I got replacement of my wind shield and repair of rock chip from ''utah mobile auto glass'' in very low cost under insurance claim. please give some advice regarding the repair of steering wheel jamming problem
