I did a search. Apparently no one else is bothered by this. When I back down a hill (my driveway, everyday) I have to adjust the mirror way down. Then back up. I wondered why I didn't have to do that on my previous car. Finally figured it out. At least I think I have. The mirror has no convexity (is that a word?) to it. I'm on my second after market convex stick-on. The first one was so little I could barely tell what the image was. The second stick-on covers half the standard mirror. That really messes with my 62 y/o brain. Bottom line: I just ain't happy with the mirror. If it wasn't electric I'd really be cranky. Any suggestions?

Convex mirrors come in all sizes from 1" to however large you want. I would think a 1.5" would be good for the Altima's.

Convex mirrors are usually on the passenger side to mitigate the "blind spot". Rarely have I ever seen a convex mirror on the driver side.

I've used 1.5 inch convex mirrors on my cars for years. Can't do without them. It's so bad, that when I travel and rent a car, I go to the first Wal-Mart I can find and buy a set for the rental. They should be standard equipment as far as I'm concerned. Just my $.02.

I fixe my mirror so I have no NO NO blinsspots at all...try it:

1) stick your head to the left window and fix the left mirror so you barely see the outside of the car

2)Stick your head to the center of ther car (right) and fix the right mirror so you barely see the outside of the car.

test: in traffic, you should follow a car this way:1) you see a car behind you with center mirror2) the car appears in the left or right mirror (no blind spot)3) when the car desapear of the mirror, you should see the car appear in your sight

BUT GET USE TO DRIVE WITHOUT SEING THE OUTSIDE OF YOUR CAR...

I absolutely need the mirror on the right so I won't hit the curb when parking my car. I don't want no curb rashes. Now it gets kinda hard at night in dark places then I just kinda stay far away from the curb. I'm wanting to put lights on the bottom right of the car to kinda light up the curb but hehe that might be kinda wierd

I haven't noticed any problems with it, but I'm not usually close to curbs or anything on the left side, besides, I have the backup camera... And I'm pretty good at knowing the size of my vehicle, maybe that comes from riding motorcycles and lane splitting for 22 years...

i drive like this too... on my mustang i had the mirrors tilted at the perfect spot so if i see a headlight, i know i can still cut into their lane... made for great runs to work in traffic...

I tilt them out and see the road... ive driven a car with the little convex mirrors before and they irritate me...

I did see somewhere a blind spot mirror that you attach onto the windshield oddly enough... try that DB couper?

Actually, there is a related thread--I just can't find it. I can't find anything using the Search...lol.

Anyway, people posted different mirror designs they found on the net, from cool to crazy as hell.

If I find it, I'll let you know.
