driver side light does not flip down

does anyone have any idea what i should check first. I already checked my grounds n the light gets power because it flips up but it does not go down

is there power going to the motor?

Usually the switch (stalk on steering wheel). Common part to go bad on a 240.

There is a good chance the headlight motor is defective IF the light comes down by itself after a few seconds. Bad connection. The connections inside the motor get dirty and affects the flow of current. Take motor out, take apart, very carefully!!! and clean the inside with contact cleaner spray. IF it stays up, then look at switch in the steering wheel.
