Either the motor or it's off track somewhat or needs grease. Quickest thing to do would be simply replace the whole mechanism.

I have looked online for window motor and the only thing I have found is front passenger and the rear windows. Any ideals about finding driver side without going to dealer?thanks

I have a 2004 Maxima. I was having the same problem and now the thing finally died. I went through a drive thru and rolled the window all the way down and now its stuck. The window switch doesn't even make any noise. Any ideas? The dealership told me nothing except they would need $100 to even look at it.

Most likely the driver side windows regulator, if the other windows are working. If you are mechanically inclined and have some tools, you can do the inspection to verify the problem as it is possible it just came off track. Then you can make the repair or replacement as required.

The door trim has to be removed before you can do the inspection.

Discounted price of window regulator from NICO sponsor, IoS is @ $70 per link below
