Driver Side Fender

A couple months ago my mom backed into my '93 hatch and put a huge dent right in the driver side quarter panel. I've been looking for a new one since then, and finally received an email from a salvage yard a few days ago.

The guy asked me what I needed, so I informed him that I needed the fender for a '93 hatch. This was the response that I received:

"Jay,I dont have the right year model right now. Mine is a 89-90, and the interchange says you need a 91-94. "

I was under the impression that as long as the fender came off of a S13 chasis that it would not matter what year it was. Is this correct? Would it be safe for me to go ahead and purchase this fender?

89-90 fenders won't have the mounting holes in them for the bumper extensions. try a search next time, i know for a fact that we've covered this plenty of times before.

well then u should know that it dont matter i have chuki fender ext. on mypignose fender right now to op: so if u need the fender right now get it
