driver side door won't open from the inside

driver side door won't open from the inside on my 2000 infiniti i30. everything else works fine with the door. the handle doesn't pull back as far as normal. all the moving parts are working fine. does anybody have any clues about this?

did you take the door panel off to check? you said the lock linkage moves normal but the handle doesn't come out as far as normal your child lock on???

I dont think there are child locks on the drivers door. But you might want to take the door panel off and see if the link is broken or it just might need some lube. Also spray some white lithium greese in the locking mechanism to make sure the problems not there.
