Hi!
New to the forum here. Got a 1995 J30T from my grandmother last year. Great car so far. Last week the door got completly stuck/jammed. I remember the door didn't close at first, resting at the latch and then I closed it again which in hindsight locked it into place. Clearly this is a common issue as I've searched all over the forum to read about this happening to others. My internet diagnosing says it's the door latch like with most everyone else (with the fob the door clearly tries to unlock but can't engage because of the latch or whatever is stock).
I'm ready to embark fixing this myself but wanted to turn to you all to see if you had any tips. Suggestions on how exactly to open the door to be able to replace the latch. And more importantly, what exactly do I need to order?
Is this eBay listing all I need? eBay item 141681797328 as I can't post URLs..
Looks like the latch with the rods, am I correct. Anything else? When people say to break the lock assembly what do they mean and is that another part/set of parts?
Thank you kind souls who read this
Alex
