Long time follower of the forums and rare poster...After some searching on this forum, and an uncontainably distracting set of google searches; I have been unable to find any insight into this issue.

I have a Black 05 6MT (Color relevance comes up later) and recently the keyless entry on the driver side will not unlock the car after the car has been sitting for a while. This occurs only in warm weather (I live in North FL), I can still lock it, and if I hit it twice the passenger side unlocks just not the driver side. I can also unlock it with the key, and after so doing I can drive it and the keyless entry will work fine. I didn’t know if the heat combined with the black finish and whatever would cause the electronics to bug out. Any and all aide in this would be appreciated. Thank you.

Door lock actuator is going bad. Pretty common. New one is around $70-$80 I believe. But labor costs will get you or it is a huge pain to replace yourself (but doable).

Try a new battery in the remote first before spending $$$ on an actuator

If its opening the passenger side without issue then its not that, but worth a try I guess.
