Driver seat stopped sliding

Hi Guys I drive a 1994 Q45. Recently my driver seat stopped sliding back and forth. All other seat switches work (head rest, recliner, up/down seat adjustments, lumbar support etc etc). I need to know if it's a slide switch problem or if the motor under the seat is gone. The two indicator lights on the memory switches are blinking continuously even when I turn off the ignition. I checked the service manual and all switches controlled by the "LCU01-A" connector in the LAN circuit diagram work except the sliding switch.

I have also been having audio and illumination problem for a while. Example. My stereo (the original stereo) volume comes on a off sometimes and sometimes it's scratchy then clears up. Sometimes when I turn left it goes low and if I raise and lower the window it comes back on full volume. Also the little green illuminations on the window control switches by the gear stick come on sometimes and sometimes not. They are mostly off.

Look at the EL section of the FSM to read the BCM (Body Control Module) codes or take your car to a dealer.

I don't know what the radio has to do with the seat controls though.

The center console window control light are know to burn out, Lucky for you 1994-1996 Q45 guys thats and easy fix.

hhhmmm how do i solve the console and window lights. Is it just a replacement job? Oh also I didn't realize this before but my power windows also went out while checking for blown fuses. Realized this the following morning.

no after market stuff installed to my knowledge. Update on the seat problem. I disconnected the battery to clean the terminals and connector. When I reconnected I noticed the seat is now sliding again and the flashing lights on the door control panel stopped. HOWEVER and I am not sure if this was the case before but my speedometer, RPMs, and Temperature gauges are not moving (stuck on 0 or cold) Also all those orange lights that come on on the dash when I turn the IGN switch on ( seatbelt, airbag etc etc) are not coming on. Also the windows still don't work, and power steering feels a little stiff but tires have good pressure. All little fuses look good not sure how to check main ones.

it appears to be the alternator only throwing out 30amps.Thanks for all the help
