When I brake quickly my driver's seat moves forward slightly....probably about a half inch. I brought it for service and was told they replicated the seat movement but since this happened in another M they drove it is normal. Anyone else think this is a problem or is it in fact normal?

Other than that....I love this car.

Welcome to NICO!

Does not sound normal to me! Could be most unsafe.

My 2003 M45 does not do this ... I'd insist on a fix. Ask to drive another car and see if you observe the same thing.

Call Infiniti Corporate and ask for assistance if you do not get a satisfactory answer from the dealer.

Had the same problem, and its been reported before;I had the rails replaced and the issue went away for almost a year;

Its back, but to smaller extent; Do you have the easy exit feature on by any chance? this seemed to make the problem show up shortly after buying the car when I had it in my 2006; I turned it off to get to the almost year mark without a notable symtom now;

They also let me drive other 06 M's and they did in fact have the same problem, it seems to be reported with age; and others the dealer her serviced reported it tootk

I shut the easy exit off just after picking the car up. I noticed the movement right away and called my salesman, and he was the one who made the appointment for the techs to look at it.

Looks like I'll have to give him another call. Good thing he's a great guy!

Definitely a problem, I had the same thing on my 2003.5 G35 and my M. As previously stated they replace the rails and that fixes it.

My M45 is doing the same thing. I called and set up an appointment to have it fixed. I'm inclined to cancel the appointment if its just gonna wear out again. Its an hour drive to my local dealership for service.

I was waiting for my 5,000 mile service to bring it in again. I have noticed that it has started getting worse though. Originally it just moved when I braked hard or quickly....now it seems to be moving under softer braking.

When I picked up my car the dealer told me that the service should be at 5K. This was the same with my Lexus and Honda....even though the book might say otherwise they've all told me to service (oil change, etc) every 5K

The dealer does not override Nissan/Infiniti recommendations. But they are only recommendations, and do come from the people that warranty your vehicle.
