Well i dropped my car off on thursday to have the recall done for the wiring on the airbag. I was informed that it would only take a couple hours. It wont be done until tomorrow. I was also informed that there were some complications. Whats up with that..? Anywho, i have been driving an 07 G35x. Nice car. Not too crazy about the styling but for ME, but it fits my lady just right. No offense to the men that have this car. So im at the local hangout on saturday, discussing racing, cars and the things i wish i could afford. I was approached by this cocky young guy who started cracking jokes about me driving my wifes car(the G35). So for like 30 min he's going on about how Infiniti is and over priced Sentra and blah blah blah. So i politely told him to put his money where is mouth is. He has an 07 R/T Charger with tune, long tube headers and exhaust. So we line up, the arms drop and i jump out the hole by two cars. Increased the lead to about 3 at the end of the 1/4 mile. That was an easy $100. Being the person i am i kept quiet. So he comes back talkin more trash. we line up again for another $100. The arms drop, i jump out by a car and a half and holds off about the same distance to the end. Wow $200 in one night. I felt like i should give half to a pimp or something since it was so easy. I have nothing but respect for this car now. Now im wishing my 03 M had all wheel drive And im trying to talk the misses to buy one since she's lookking for a new car.

well the Gs are also smaller and lighter, so that helps a lot. I dont think the AWD does much, if anything. From my understanding, the AWD doesn't come in unless it detects that the rear wheels don't have optimal traction. I suppose if you managed to spin the wheels getting off the line then the AWD would help, but I dont think stock 07 Gs have what it takes when going straight.

The AWD was engaged. i can honestly say that it will definately beat my m45 in the 1/4mile. it actually launches almost as hard as my mustang with drag radials....ALMOST. But none the less, i was impressed.

What complications with the recall does your car have? My service visit took only 30 minutes.

They really wouldn't say. One tech said that they started working on the car but they ran ouf of the part...the tech said they had problems getting to the part....

It should be fixed today, i hope.

Where did you take it? Maybe I will get the same loaner when you return it.

Wow I'm glad I took mine to Bommarito. They gave me an 09' G37x with only 3k miles on it. Now that was a ton of fun for the weekend. They were too busy to get to mine. I just hate it when they give you the loaner with an 1/4 a tank of gas.
