Driver's side power window question??

1995 240SX SE. Yes dammit I forgot to list the year and model in the title... doh got carried away.... I have searched the archives and have not found the answer I am looking for... The driver's side power window was working just fine and I had rolled it down. After I rolled it up and attempted to roll it down a couple of seconds later, it didn't work. I took apart the door panel to see if the connection had come loose and after playing with all the connections it still didn't work. The passenger window works just fine from the driver's side control switch and so do the power locks. When I attempt to roll down the window I can hear an audible click sound from the amplifier box next to the door handle. I guess my question is this: Is it the amplifier or the motor that has gone bad??
