Driver preference buttons

Can someone tell me if the seat/mirror/wheel position buttons on the drivers door for different driver's prefs are supposed to be illuminated? Seems like mine were and now they're not

The memory buttons on my g37 are but im not sure about the others. And if Iremember correctly my last FX was that way to.

They only light up when you set them. Once you're done setting them, the lights go off. If you press the Set, then 1 button, the 1 button will stay lit for a few seconds. If, during this time, you press the unlock button on your intelligent key, the light on the 1 button will flash - indicating that you've successfully tied that intelligent key to that memory setting.
