Driver Door Not Working Properly

I have an issue with the driver side door not locking/unlocking properly from the key fob. It is my wife's vehicle and she seems to have dealt with this and not been using the key fob for several years now. As long as you use the key everything works as expected. I replaced the battery in the key fob and tested it out. I found that it would unlock all doors except for the drivers. I'm curious if there are solenoids in each door which are responsible for unlocking each one. If so, is it most likely that the solenoid in the drivers door has gone bad or might there be another cause?

Could be electrical issue with the system (like the first click unlock the driver's door) or fob needs to be replaced. Your best bet to check first with other fob if you have an extra available and if not then go to technician.
