A couple weeks ago my alternator went bad. When it happened i noticed that my driver side door lock is messed up. When i try to lock it or unlock it, it just turns all the way around instead of stopping. I'm not sure if it happened because of the alternator or not i just want to know if it can be fixed and how. My passenger side lock is still working but it is a pain having to unlock that one first and unlocking my door from the inside. Also to lock the door i have to lock it from the inside and hold up the handle from the outside for it to stay locked.

Unrelated to your alternator, sounds like you have an internal problem. You're probably gonna need to remove the assembly and visually inspect it.

This holds true for almost all '90's Japanese cars.
