Where did you buy it at? I see your in San Jose, I get that way all the time. Do you have a contact person that you know or use?JedCoop wrote:For $500, I'd buy a new factory shaft... in fact I just did!
I just bought a new drive shaft that will fit either my '92 or '94. Both have TCS. Joe at Scottsdale looked up the numbers for me.I've heard that a TCS shaft fits a non-TCS vehicle, but not verifiedthat with Infiniti.
The part number was 37000-70U15 for $465.85To use this shaft in a '92 you need to order two additional brackets: 37511-66U00 & 37512-66U00 at $27.14 each.
The driveshaft in my '92 is shot, has been getting worse for a while, I just haven't been driving the car much. I think not driving it makes it worse, too (else I am just plain getting pickier) My '94 with 120K is still smooth, but am considering putting the new shaft in the '94 anyways, and moving the used shaft into the '92 with 193K. Wondering if it is worth the extra work.
PTI contact information?elwesso wrote:he got it from joe
I still HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend people save money and go with PTI. They have a 1 year, no questions asked, vibration free warranty. They will ship you a new shaft for free!!! The factory sure as hell isnt gonna do that!
