There is a mode available on the auto version of the 09 Coupe that they call "Drive Sport mode".Does anyone know what this is? What it does?

my guess would be higher shift points on the transmission... most trannys shift for gas milage and get to the highest gear as quick a possible by "short shifting" in normal driving. i bet that sport mode will hold those lower gears longer.

it may change the A/F mapping some.it may even increase the redline.

some sport modes in vehicles increase transmission pressure lines for more firm shifting.

The DS mode isjust a little sportier. What it does it holds the gears longer. When it rev matches it goes on highere rpm since it keeps the car ready to rock. I love it.

With this one you actually shifting harder too. I call it a rocket mode. hahahah

Also, it's been standard since the 07 G35 sedan and 08 G37 Coupe. Not sure if the OP was thinking it is a new feature.

Nope,

It is an auto shifting it just holds the gear more. But to switch to manual you have to go thru the ds mode. It is like most tiptronic shifters just little more sportier with the rev match. But once you switch to manual it won't change the gears for you or nothing.

yeah about 60% of my driving is in manual mode... but the ecu will learn your driving habits... when im in auto mode my car will shift in the high revs now (like 4500 - 5000) on gear one and two in auto mode.
