Am i just trippin or is the driveshaft made out of some sort of wound carbon fiber material? Sure ain't steel.

It's a composite - weights 14.8lbs with yolks according the the UPS scale at Z1.

you should see the one on the 240sx's, its 2 piece, steel, and has a huge rubber dampener.
