I was thinking of buying a 1 piece carbon fiber drive shaft for my 240sx s13 with sr20. Does anyone know if it will make a big enough difference to make it worth buying? The company clams a 5% decrease in the percentage of power loss through the drive train (meaning that instead of losing around 17 percent through the drive train i would only lose like 12). Can anyone verify this claim?

Well to be honest, I can't completely verify that claim myself, but I have talked to a few other 240 owners with single piece driveshafts on their rides and they say that a 1-piece driveshaft makes a significant improvement in power transfer and clutch response. But none of them had CARBON driveshafts either...

Yes, that would definitely be a good investment. Although the carbon driveshaft should perform better than steel or forged aluminium just because it's got plenty of strength and it's also extremely lightweight. I would get the carbon shaft myself if I had the cash on hand, but getting an aluminum or steel 1-piece shaft will get the job done no preblem.

I have a steel one-piece from The Driveshaft Shop.

Definately a noticable difference. Not worth the cash IMO for carbon.
