will my ka24e drive shaft work on my ca18det?

mine actually didn't work. well normally a drive shaft should just slide in. mine was in there so hard. ended up switching over to a jdm s13 drive shaft.

It CAN work, but you don't want to use it if you don't have to. The KA motor produces a decent amount of torque, because of this, Nissan used a dampener on the KA driveshaft to make the car drive smoother. This Dampener cause 2 problems.

1st- Clearance. There is a dust sheild on the CA trans that won't allow the KA driveshaft to fit into the CA trans all the way. You'll have to beat it off with a hammer, as it's just slid into the trans.

2nd- Power. There have been a few members who have had problems with this dampener tearing itself in half with increased power. In stock form, or even slightly modded you should be OK. If you do a lot of burnouts or clutch drops, it may not last though.
