I need u-joints and don't want to pay nissan $600 for a new shaft. Does anyone have a source for u-joint replacement? How about info on a shop that will machine the shaft for replaceable u-joints?

regards,alphaspeed

edit: I forgot to add this. 91 stock 240 with manual transmission.

Or you could get an aluminum driveshaft from http://www.enjukuracing.com for $430

I did find a source for a $150 rebuilt shaft.

Thanks for your input.

GIJOE69, I try to avoid junkyard items that wear out. I have no problem with buying a used fender, but don't have the time to install a wear part that is already twelve years old. If you have had good luck with junkyard parts that fit into the wear catagory, let me know. This is my first serious Datsun project and I don't have a lot of background info about the life of their mechanical parts.

Thanks,alphaspeed

BTW, how do I get rid of that "driving moms car" slogan?

Spend more time on the forum to get it off. Look at number of posts and correlate it with names
