The bearing is a one-piece unit that presses onto the front shaft. After you seperate the two pieces of the driveshaft, there is a flange on the front shaft that is held on by a large nut. I had to use an impact wrench to get the nut off. After that, a standard 2-jaw puller will pull the flange off, then use it again to pull the bearing off (I cut most of the rubber cushion part of the bearing off first, and let the jaws dig into the remaining rubber and the bearing itself). Push the new bearing on by hand, put the flange on, then by tightening the retaining nut the flange will push the bearing the rest of the way on. This is how I did mine.
If you have an impact wrench, its a fairly quick, easy job. If not, trying to get that flange nut off will ruin your day. I wasted about 2 hours with various breaker bars and wrenches and everything else trying to loosen it with no luck. I got pissed off went on a bike ride to simmer down and as I was going past my friends house I saw him in his garage with his compressor and impact wrench (I didnt know he had one) working on his brakes. Bingo! An hour later I was done.
