I am looking at a 20 lb steel drive shaft from Z1 versus a 14 lb aluminum drive shaft from Powertrain. Aluminum is 6 lb lighter but Z1 said a steel shaft is less likely to vibrate which will reduce cabin noise and it's less likley to twist due to horsepower. Is this true? Should I buy a 20 lb steel one from Z1 or a 14 lb aluminum one from Powertrain? Is 6 lb worth it the extra $50.00? My car puts down 320 whp now but I want to build it to around the 500 mark!!! Thanks for your input.

Don't listen to Z1 on this one. I make over 600 horsepower and have an aluminum drive shaft. It doesn't vibrate, it isn't twisted, and it is FAR SUPERIOR to the steel one that Z1 offers. Spend the extra money and buy the aluminum drive shaft from powertrain. Its lighter, its plenty strong, and its from a very reputable driveshaft company.
