With RIM in recovery mode following the recent outages, the Drive Safe.ly Pro App was released today for free. It is supposed to read SMS and emails when they arrive and you can then respond using voice recognition. It can also be configured to turn on automatically when your car's Bluetooth connection is established and work through that system.
I downloaded it and have yet to have it work through BT, it will work through the phone's speaker so the program itself works fine. I'm guessing this feature is not compatible through BT since it is not A2DP configured in the car. I'm just wondering if anyone else has tried this app (or the similar app from Vlingo) and had it function in this capacity. Vlingo will be offered free as well and I only want to download it if it works through the car BT system.
Thanks for your input.
