A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

I thought I would put this on here to help any one who is having the same problem that I am having. I left my lights on the other day and a week later went to get smogged and got rejected do to incomplete monitors. I tried to find the "drive cycle"on the web but couldn't and driving out to a local National Rec. area 2 days in a row didn't fix it. So when I went to get a renewal extension at the DMV the guy in the emissions lab was able to look up my car and give me a print out of the drive cycle. Here is a copy of that drive cycle:

1998 Nissan 200SX: SE 1.6L 115 HP L4 (A) GA16DE-GAS-FI-N (This should work for Sentra and most likely all GA16DE engines)

ALL MONITORS-ALL MODELS, ALL ENGINES

Notes:

1. Steady state driving can be resumed if it is interrupted; monitor execution time may increase.2.M/T, under normal acceleration, upshift from 1st-2nd at 13-15 mph; from 2nd-3rd at 23-25 mph; from 3rd-4th at 33-40 mph; from 4th-5th at 39-45 mph.

Conditions:

1. ECT < 122 degrees F. at start-up.2. Monitors will indicate Incomplete if DTCs are erased, or if ECM power supply is interrupted for a prolonged period.

STEPS:

1. Start the engine when the ECT is 122 degrees F.2. Idle the engine until ECT reaches at least 158 degrees F.3. Continue idling for 1-1/2 minutes.4. Accelerate gradually (A/T in D with OD ON) to 56 mph. Completely release the accelerator pedals; for more that 10 seconds.5. Accelerate again to 56 mph and drive at speed between 53-60 mph for 10 minutes. Steady state driving can be resumed if interrupted. But the time required for monitor to execute may be longer. 6. Decelerate to 0 mph. Idle for 10 seconds.7. Accelerate gradually (A/T in D with OD ON) in about 10 seconds. Hold the accelerator pedal as steady as possible for 20 seconds.8. Repeat step 7 ten times. During acceleration, hold the accelerator as steady as possible. Do not use cruise control.9. Check the EGR monitor status. Repeat Step 8 until the EGR monitor sets to “complete”.10. The engine must have been operated for a minimum of 17 minutes before performing step 11.11. Accelerate as steadily as possible (A/T in D with OD ON) to 53-60 MPH and cruise for 3 minutes. The accelerator pedal must be held very steady during this step. If it is moved, the step must be repeated.12. Stop Turn the ignition OFF.13. Check the status of monitors.

hope this is helpfull.
