hey guys, would getting a wheel shop to drill a 4x114 hole into a 4x100 wheel be safe?

should i settle for a 4x114 wheel instead?

my reason is that i really like mesh wheels and i can't seem to find a set of mesh wheels that is in 15 or 16 inch that has the fitment of 4x114

do you guys know of any mesh wheel that fits our 240?

here is the wheel i was looking at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...l1116

also do you guys think is its smart to convert to 4lug 4x100? theres a greater selection of wheels for it.

These are 4 x 114.3 and inexpensive...but crappy offset. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

Here is something more stock: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ories

But if I where you I would step up to a 17" rim and go with these SportMaxx rims: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...oriesNice look and fit for the money. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.

15x6.5 +40 so lets say that fit my 240sx how would it look? considering its offset is +40... would it be more wider or something?

i really don't have a clue about offset...

wwmdavis the sportmax is pretty nice but the offset is +20 would that be wider? and would it rub once lowered?

could you guys teach me wat is a good offset and what is a bad offset and why? i know staggered is bad and thats about it

No, positive offset brings the wheel more in towards the car.

This should help pick wheel size and offsets for you

I've always liked those. I don't believe that they are a +20 offset though. I think it's +35 or 38

seriously? like... is this a joke? At least you'd have a shadow in your wheel well to cool off in if it gets to hot in the summer...

Leave s****y honda wheels to s****y hondas.

Here you go, this solves both your bolt and off set problemshttp://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=4323560

Well except they're sold.

But it proves the right wheels are out there.

hey guys i have another question, lets say i want to buy a 16x7 wheel how do i determine the correct tire that will perfectly fit it? i've seen theres alot of tire sizes and i don't understand what tires will fit... i.e. 195, 205, 215, 225 etc...

Usually a site will recommend the tire size, such as tirerack.com

Normal tire on a 7 inch wheel is 215. 215/45/17 should be the one to keep your speedometer as close as possible.

I resent that comment Timelss. I have 2 Hondas, both of which I feel are rimmed up quite nicely? However, they are not Honda rims...........

Keep searching bro. The mesh wheels you are looking for are out there. Its just a matter of how hard you want to look. Try Work VS-XX maybe??

That title is messed up on there. They are 5x114.3, so won't work without 5-lug conversion.
