in the process of removing flywheel pins one snapped in half just a little more then flush with the flywheel. i've tried drilling into the pin but its still not budging. i don't like the idea of leaving a half broken half drilled pin in my flywheel, my only solution at this point would be to completly drill it out with a bit the same size or a little bigger than the flywheel alignment pin hole itself. does anyone see a downside to this? any other ideas for removal?

Why don't you just grind it down flush?

not any more likely than if it wasn't broken off. If you are worried about it though, I don't see why you couldn't drill it out. But I would remove as little material from the flyhweel as possible.

i got it out and took out rougly .00000002g of flywheel with it. if removing one pin won't affect balance, there is not way the metal flakes i took out will. what kind of shops do that balancing? and how longs it take?

Any performance machine shop should be able to. Not sure on how long.
