So I have a question. Do tracks let people under the age of 18 drift? If I have a car and a parent/guardian with me then it should be not problem right? Also I don't have a drivers license yet but I do have a learners permit.(those familar with the NJ GDL program know what it is).

I've done a bit of research and most of the private "just for fun" type events seem to allow drifters underage as long as the they have a parent and sigh the appropriate legal forms. Some of the larger competitions like formula D have strange rules regarding drifters under age.

no you dont

it depends on the organization and insurance. ive seen kids as young as 14 at autocrosses. talk to whoever is running the event. with a guardian waiver you should be able to drive license or not.

Does anyone know any tracks in northern Florida that let you drift at any age? I am 16 and need to start drifting really soon!

It'd be awesome to have my dad watch me drift. He's the one who got me into cars when I was younger and plus he used to do a bit of racing back when he was my age (<Not the legal kind lol)

I guess If anyone who stops by this thread and knows any tracks or events that let kids drift under age you may as well post the up and I'll make a list. BTW Lukeskywalker There's probably plenty of places to drift in the northern florida area try posting in the regional forums and you might get a good response there.
