i have a 91 nissan 240sx with a sr in it pretty much stock

i was doing doughnuts around this little island thing in a parking lot [only did it to the left] and then after i stopped it started ticking.my friend told me that my oil was to thin and that sometimes while drifting the oil shifts to one side of the motor .[not sure if its true or not] if you guys have ever heard of this could you give me some pointers on how to stop it?

He means all the oil was at one side, thus making the oil pickup not pick anything up....

Yes that can happen. It's called latteral g's.

I dunno if you've ever seen this but on a show called ultimtate factories (nat geo I think) they showed the how a vette z06's oil system worked. It has an oil circulation system (no oil pan) so exactly what you're talking about doesn't happen. It's pretty cool. They even demonstrated how g forces force the oil to one side of a pan during hard cornering. The same would apply to drifting.
