tip one... get rid of those cut springs..What shocks u runnin?.. bettr not b stock

no need to whack out ur camber..or crappy tires.try a feint approach..and try to get a lil more speed.then floor it(the welded diff. will help when u floor it..and just try to ride it out.

by no means am i an expert . im just passing on what i do i classify my self as an extreamly novice drifter.

and be sure not to try this on the streetsvery dangerous..

wonder where Kamin is.. he's the man to answer this question a lil better

I probably suck more then ^ him but yeah that works good. suspension should not be that huge(dont get me wrong its nice to have...), you will need some speed since you dont have any power (so to speak).

Have you given clutch kick or shift lock a try? that welded diff should help out tons IMHO, I can power over on a bunch of stuff I had to clutch kick or side brake before. I'm talking 2/3 gear with 100 ish whp sohc ka that is scortched ,from massive ovreheating episode.

seat time.....

i know about that but i like the clutch kick and i use that but it seems to run out of power and believe it or not my cut spring handle pretty nice not the best but it made getting sidewayz a little bit easier..

cut springs are horrible. at the LEAST get lowering springs. but coilovers are best.

a welded diff is better than a VLSD or an open diff, so do that as your next mod. open diff's suck and are horrible.

and it was already said, since you dont have the power, you need more speed. so enter faster and clutch kick.

doh' someone forgot to read in detail. i say just kick the **** of your clutch like you hear alot of AE86's doing.

you said to do a welded diff which the kid said he already has.

and yeah just go balls to the wall, **** if i could get the ae86 sideways with a faint and powerover which has even less power then you then i'm sure you can get it sideways. And then when i had my single cam s13 it was even easier use speed then clutch kick it or e-brake whatever you feel more comfortable with, but agree with other get some coilovers you will def notice the difference.

Oh snap I am in concord too!

But yeah just get out there and pop the clutch, it just takes practice. Come buy my house and i'll hook you up with adjustable illuminas and hill climb front (oem in japan) for $50. Well if you hate cut springs, because I have cut springs in my sr5 and its LAME.

i also have cut spring from the previous owner and an open diff....

feint + ebrake is enough to get u sideway and control the steering and step on the throttle to keep it going, ofcourse with open diff i cant get as sideway as ur welded.but when u feel like you begin to straighten out kick in the clutch let the rev rise and let it out + some steering and u should maintain your drift.

but pignose shouldnt matter if ur s13 drift or not.

ofcourse, if your engine is still good the first mod u should get is suspension... my motor crapped out on me so my first priority is engine :\
