I have a 95 240sx that is being built as a drift car. I have already purchased, Tein super-drifts, circuit sports flca's, rlca's, ruca's, spl toe arms, traction rods, solid sub-frame bushings, solid diff bushings, tein pillow-ball tension rods, strut bars. I am trying to find out if it is necessary/desirable to have upgraded sway bars or to even have sway bars at all? What do you guys think?

sounds like a very respectable set up! wtg! it should drift like butter once you get used to the set up

minimum would be bushings (ends and bracket) but if you got the funds to upgrade to like some 30mm or even adjustable ones even better

Sounds like a good setup. My buddy tramp_drift240 has got the superdifts on his s13 and loves them. In fact we just got back from drift nirvana at Summit Point and even slammed all the way down, they performed beautifully.

Good choice of parts but you have to remember, most of them are adjustable and that is what is really going to make the most difference in your "set-up"... if you have all the parts on and set your toe to -5 degrees and your camber to +3 degrees then obviously the parts will be worthless. Go find out what alignment angles people are running for their D1 cars and what not and if you have enough money for tires all the time, I'd say try to mimic what works for them.

Oh and don't forget an LSD! (I dunno if 95's have them)

Best of luck to you and happy tire shredding!

you run no front sway?

i hear some fc guys do that when they drift but it seems like it would be down grading...

no i run a stock front and Suspension Techniques rear with custom adjustable end links

i seen people use no front to allow for just a slight bit more front grip

ive been looking into the sway thing,

removing the front will increase front grip...

removing rear will increase rear grip...

so keeping a front and removing the rear makes it grip more in the rear, removing the front and keeping the rear will increase oversteer so good for drifting? yess maybeeee

Like I said in post #1, opinions are like...Try different combinations and see what works best for your driving style.
