The other day me TRYING to show off i was trying to drift. i wanted to do a 180 by droping it from 4th to 2nd gear but didn't get enough wheel spin and ended up having all the weight of the car on the front right wheel and the next thing that happend was POP! i looked under the car and saw the boot was out of place and then my boy looked at it and said its the rack n pinion.

I asked around and the cheapest i could get it fixed for is 400 by rebuilding the R n' P. The nissan dealer will charge me over a 1000 dollors. Is $400 a good price to get it fixed for or does anyone think i could get it fixed cheaper?

good job. do it yourself Silvia tuner, it'll save you a butt load of money.

go to Nissan and buy a factory service manual, then go buy the parts needed to get it done.

then use the saved money to buy yourself some books on driving.

Ahhh the irony :) Silvia Tunner, I'd say it's time to hit up a junkyard man.

$400 is cheap for rack and pinion. You're lucky your transmission didn't blow when you downshifted. Maybe you should think of the consequences next time you do something stupid. You don't want to end up like this guy: http://brimstone.five-elements....mpeg

start visiting some junk yards; you should be able to pick up a new rack for fairly cheap.

I have a steering rack from my 240sx that I'd be willing to sell you. Email me at chrismendoza25 at hotmail.com Just to let you know, the price will be waaaaaay cheaper than $400.

Edit: Just realized that you drive an S14. Mine is for an S13.
