Drifting/newbie 240 questions

Im looking to get a 240sx s13, I do not know a lot about these cars what year 240sx models came with LSD stock and what years?Also I plan on going all motor cause this car will be used mainly for drifting...what would be the basics to start off with?

um lets see, some stickers, some neons, a HUGE wing and cut the springs it will give you better handling.

Haha just kidding, start out with the basci bolt-ons for the engineadvance timingintake exhaustheaderspulleyscam gearsclutch and lightened flywheel will do you good as well

As far as suspension goes ull needstrut barsget some new sway bars cause ours are hollow!definately new springs (sportlines is what I have)CAMBER KIT!

You forgot shocks, you don't want him blowing his stock shocks within a month.

i have had the stock shocks now for about 6 months on the sport lines, all you have to do is cut the bump stop in half so the shocks font bottom out.

V-lsd is easy to get from a junk yard.... and cheap I paid 175

i need to find a LSD for myself as well...i cant stand losing traction

Any s13 with HICAS has a r200v. That is unless it was blown out and replaced with a r200.

No other s13's came with a r200V, as you had to get the HICAS package for it to some equipped. HICAS cars arent that easy to find either so a non HICAS s13 with a r200v (or aftermarket) swap might be your only choice.

1991 and on come stick with lsd'smy car is a 90 and i can drift fine with out an lsd, but i am going to put one in

So you mean to say all 91-93 (94 was vert and auto only) that are 5 speed have an r200v?

Im sorry but you are seriously wrong. Only s13's to come with an r200v from nissan, equipped, were the ones with the hicas package (which included HICAS, ABS, and a R200V)...
