Drifting in a Ford Escort!? Auto

My friend has an auto escort, and it is the only thing remotly close that we have available to drift in at the time. Can we get some advice on how to drift in this. We have tried e-brake tenqnuiques and have encountered near death, please save us and telll us how please.

pop the transmission into neutral, get the rpms up and drop it down to low at the apex of the turn, this always gets my back out in my escort
