yeah well things came up i stopped working on it for a while.. now I'm back and trying to get it running b4 Oct1st.. for a drift event..the reason i have the RB is b/c of its proven background and after market support. if only looking for around 300rhp and that's pretty easy to make with an RB25. is not sure how much my Q weights now but i know i can push it around my drive way easier then i can my friend S13 but I'm sure it still weighs around 3200 i dunno after i get it tuned and street able I'm going to try and weigh it, i'm vary interested to see what it weighs with all the crap i took out of it active suspension and ABS and other stuff. I'm still using stock fuel tank, and running the stock passenger seat for right now.Hopefuly i can get it running b4 Oct1st and get some videos for u guys..( its going to be pushing it i still need a drive shaft and to tune it and get it running right) yes i know the Q isn't the best platform for a drift car but like i said when i started i wanted something that not many ppl would have.ceningolmo wrote:I remember him talking about that project....we haven't seen him in a while. I still don't think I understand the logic of swapping in an RB in rather than staying with the VH.

But... stripping it for drift specific purposes just strikes me as amusing. The thing is a yacht, a tanker, a tank... it's a big mofo. Asking for its stripped weight is a little bit like asking whether stripping a battle ship of its armor, weapons, and crew would make for a good off-shore racer.
Interesting comparison, my problem was I was compairing to 2600# 240'smidnightsliding wrote:

so i figure after the weight is out their not really going to be huge difference. and their more weight that i can take out but i'm not worried about it right now. this is just a practice car, its like test and tune. then next one will have changes and so forth.
yeah i understand that i just posted that b/c ppl say the in-line 6 isn't enough. its deff not going to be in the S chassis ball park my old S13 with cage and me in it, weight in at 2380t3lh wrote:Interesting comparison, my problem was I was compairing to 2600# 240's
