Dude about those wheels, I think thats a negative. The guy called me saying that he can't get either set of wheels. Torques nor P45Rs. According to him, he called directly to Rota and they told him they are not available for whatever reason. I was kind of pissed because I called Rota as well and they told me they where a special order but holdable non the less.

He was trying to persuade me into getting DRAG wheels from him, but I've seen them and they scream poor quality. I'm just going to get them from Top Speed, spoke to them already and they can get them although they are a special order.

Hahahahahaha. $3,000 in knock-off, horribly fitting, garbage parts being a good pile? MrGreenEyes has about $3,000 in legit parts sitting in the garage right now, which doesn't include the parts that aren't even here yet and haven't been ordered. Hell, I just spent $1,200 ALONE on 5 speed parts.

Now, please build a PROPER car.

S15 Spec R turbo knock off? Some of my parts might be cheaper but it doesnt mean Im not building a quality car, and honestly if you spent $1200 on a 5speed swap then thats your car, I personally think thats a waste of money when you could easily buy a trans for $100, pedal &MC from a junkyard or a NICO member lol, a nice clutch for $300 and order a few small things new and save a ton of money...but thats your car and your money--do I go critizing you? Um no.

Oh & I know the on internetz its hard to tell but I was kidding about mrgreeneyes stockpile, I was trying to see what he got

dougs (ilovemyrhs13) is the most legit 5spd swap ive seen/help assemble. $1200 spent on proper parts, new hardwares, clutch setup, new M/S cylinders, SS lines, etc. its epic. its all NEW, its delicious.

my pile is roughly $2700 worth of parts, pre tax/shipping... and that doesnt include the parts that are currently in the mail, en route to my house. props on the s15bb turbo, its what i plan to use. however ill be sticking to oem manifolds, as i prefer boost response over shiny-ness.

but overall, props on building things the way you want to, but ill assure you, from experience that buying gray-market parts will end up being a PITA. fitment is never 100%, and ill never go back.

ill update very shortly. as soon as i pick up my subframe from whitecomet, pics will come plentifully. ill detail how to properly build a suspension/brake/steering setup with quality parts.

I know brand new parts would be best, I agree but its not realistic with my budget right now. It is my first build & I plan to learn from my mistakes..which Im sure Ive made a few already.

Honestly Im seriously stoked to see you go into detail on the suspension, dont see too many suspension builds on here. Im gonna be real short on money after I paint this car but I want to build the supsension next.

i will admit the trans looks insanely clean, but as long as it works good thats what matters. did you guys pull it apart to check the gears and stuff? i didn't bother since i knew the trans history

without pulling the bellhousing, we checked everything out. SUPER clean. super smooth. all the new hardware, mounts, etc is fantastic. his 5spd is more legit than mine. but thats cus my attention will be on an SR 5spd, not this ka one...

Nice valve cover I had to re-do mine, my sister scratched the life out of it.

I really like seeing that engine near completion on the engine stand. Wish that could be mine.

Engine bay looks good bro.

Congrats on your build man, you really picked up the pace with it.

And who is the d**k ragging on your parts list? What an a**. I should put up pics of all MY stuff and show him a thing or two about LEGIT parts.

those fittings replace the bango fitting, so you no longer need a bango bolt

You shoulda done the bay in some crazy metallic green or something.... Black bays are so 2008.That motor is lookin fresh though man, and you should wait to put that radiator hose on until you get the motor in.

lol Stripes I wanted to keep it in primer but I want under the hood to look as inconspicuous [sp?] as possible-from what I hear LA cops like to look under your hood for thing that stand out.

The whole car is going to be a sleeper kind of look, with only a CF hood and wheels to make it stand out, maybe tint.

My next build...will be getting peoples attention though

Im trying really f***ING HARD right now not to freak out, because I dont think Ive ever been as f***in pissed with my car as I am right now.

I wanted to put the hose on from the oil drain tube to the block so I removed the nuts holding the drain tube to the turbo, one of the studs came out with it so I decided to seat the studs before I went any farther-thinking it couldnt hurt and I wanted to be safe it wasnt gonna just come off. Well the one stud stayed in and I started to seat it...and the whole peice of mother f***ing metal broke off. FRSport doesnt open til noon my time so I have to wait for the bastards to open.

Im going f***ING NUTS!!!!!! Looking back Im not sure if I even needed to seat the studs or if I was supposed to use bolts? It didnt come with bolts so I assumed the studs were used there and thought I was supposed to seat the stud.

Please someone tell me that what I did was correct and not iditotic so I dont have to pay another $800 for a turbocharger.

P.S. Im postin this in the SR section as well to get some answers asap.

interesting paint on the trans. i don't want to be a jerk, but the blue on the vc looks too flat imo. a metallic blue would be perfect
