Not perfect, but pretty damn good. Ive weighed the pros and cons and Im pretty sure Ill be ok. My summer job is awesome and like I said it will provide me with the money if I need in case my GTP doesnt sell asap [God forbid]. So I dont consider it a Credit Card build, just a temporary usage.

ISIS turbo elbow blows ***. Didnt come with the bolts required to bolt it to the turbo, the holes where the bolts go are huge in comparison to the threads in the turbo! WTF!!! To make things worse I have no skinny O2 sensor adapter which i paid $15 for.

So I am trying to think of a creative idea for a killswitch, and I saw somewhere you can use a password on a keypad-anyone know anything about this?

Broadfield I hear your are an electronics wiz--any ideas?

Now when you say "kill switch", do you mean the true definition...... a switch that kills all power to the car? Like a NHRA approved switch that you would need at a track?

Or do you mean a "hidden" switch or something that acts as a switch that you need to activate in order to start the car?

Well I orginally thought fuel cutoff would work, but all power would be cool as well, it is going to be my DD for a while so I dont want it out in the open. But I really like the keypad password idea

Thanks! lol Theres some motivation for me to get my *** movin, it will be in the car next month an running in April. On the street in May, just in time for summer and every car show I can get to lol

I proposed a meet earlier, like a BBQ kinda thing where we can BS bout cars or w/e or even meet at like a restaurant. I went to a "car show" outisde a small food place and they gave us permission to use their parking lot as long as people were buying food, and theyd even bring it out to us!

Glad to see some more Chicagoans are on here! Check out Teknos build too, hes got some work goin on

You didn't really answer my question. Do you want a "kill" switch so if you are at a track and have a problem an official can kill the motor? Or do you want a "switch", or something that acts like a switch, to prevent someone from starting the car?

Edit: ..... and I would definitely be down for a nice sized Chicago meet this summer.

You can do all sorts of cool things.... pretty much anything you can dream up. You could do a hidden magnetic switch. So one side of the magnetic switch you would hide behind something: dashboard, panel, carpet etc. You would then either hold the other side of the magnetic switch over the hidden spot while cranking with the key. Basically it would be a IGN kill. So the ignition wire would not be a closed circuit unless the magnetic switch was closed. Or you could use a latching relay along with the magnetic switch so you could simply swipe the magnet over the hidden area and you wouldn't have to hold it there while cranking. This way you could have the magnetic switch on your key chain and you could easily make the swipe before putting the key into the ignition cylinder.

You could also do basic things like turning on the parking lights before you can start it, turn signal, brake, radio(if aftermarket), you have to have the door open etc. You could even make it so you have to activate a combination of these things.

Hmmm ideas spawning! If I were to use the magnetic strip idea would ANY type of magnet work? So for example would someone be able to take a magnet and swipe it all over my car while cranking it & steal her?

How would I go about setting these up? Any threads on it..?
