you can remove number 3 and 4, but i believe you will need to block off the egr on the engine if you do.

California is one of the worst emissions states (as in toughest to pass etc). I wouldn't remove anything related to emissions if you plan on moving out here, unless you don't mind putting it back in.

If it's going to be driven on the streets your better off leaving the emissions stuff on.

looks like ill be keepin it then lolthanks againi was going to clean out my garage with my dad so we had room for parts and for when i get my motor

but its POURING rain and has been the last 24hrs so i cant do $hit today. all the rain is comin from hurricane ike which sucks but i shouldnt complain considering what people in houston are going through

hopefully i have everything out of the engine bay, power washed and painted by tues (i have time between school and work tues/thurs)

and im still tryin to find the best motor company for the least $ and i know i get what i pay for but motors in the US are over priced

Driftboy ha. Nice. So your from the midwest and you want to drift? There are a good amount of drifters in your area. You should join clubfr if you want to drift. They hold the midwest drift events. The next one is OCT. 19th, and i know you wont be drifting because your car wont be running, but maybe you come up with the guys from chicago and see what its all about. Get that car running by next year so you can make the events. If you want to drift, plan out what you need to drift first, later plan out things you want.

Well the events location very from event to event but the next one that i was talking about is in shawano WI. For you i think it is a 3.5hr drive north. Alot of people drive up there in a train and spend the night in a hotel. I drive up the day of, really earily, or i go there and sleep in my car in the parking lot.

As far as no car to practice with, just get your 240 working and start comming asap next year. They have Pro drifters there that will sit in your car with you and give you pointers. Plus it is a **** load of fun. Auto-X you only get 5-6 runs. Drag events depend on the track and the turn out. Drifting is 8 hrs of non-stop fun. It is not compairible to anything else.

rofl, im really a level 10 mage. well, the truck is my dad's, the trailer belongs to a friend of my dads and my dad and brother came along to pick up the car. we just drove there and back and i didnt pay for any gas. well, technically i put $30 in his other truck a few days later when i went to the junkyard, so it balanced out

yes get the greddy profec ebc. i have it on my sr and it's excellent. no creep or spike.

i got my motor set from enjuku racing. they treated me with utmost care... the first set they were going to send me didn't put out good compression numbers, so they ordered another one (which did) and shipped me that one. that's good looking out if i've ever come across it

sweet dude thanks. im pretty sure ima order my motor from tthem--one question, did you get a SMIC with your engine?

um yes i got it but i regeted it so much. if u dont get the smic and piping its only 1900.00 i believe not sure about total with shipping.

i though i was going to use the oem intercooler but when i saw how small it was i decided to ditch it and i bought me a greddy FMIC kit it was $400. when u call them, they will give u the option if u want the SMIC and piping or not. Ur choice and a little cheaper if u DON't get it

so if u plan on turning up the boost, PLEASE do not get the oem SMIC and piping it is a waste of money i learned that myself. I would have saved me some money if i didn't get it.

if u call then ask for NESAR, he was the one who helped me through the whole process. dude helps u a lot and answers all your questions. they even offer their help in case you have any problems during the swap.

i was lookin at their website and the one red top is $2100...BUT they sell JDM SR20 front clips for $2200 which seemed kinda strage to me that they only charge an extra $100 for the whole clip but w/e

teknos-i wanna have tthe car on the road as fast as possible-paying for a FMIC+hot pipe & BOV is gonna take me a lil while longer to pay for with my job so if i can get the 240 on the road and sell my GTP...then i can put on FMIC etcso the side mount would be temporary. did you pay the $2100 for the whole thing w/ IC? because its not listed on the "parts included"

yea just 100 more for the whole clip but think about the SHIPPING charges lol. ok if its going to be temporary then i say go for it. like i said i payed a total of 2300.00 shipped to my garage since i got the SMIC with piping. and they will ask u if u want the IC or not. i think it says 2100 but without the IC. im pretty sure u will end up paying the same as me since we both live in Illinois.

hmmm i wonder how much extra shipping is for a clip? because i would get EVERYTHING + extras...idk i also dont want too much of an eye sore at my dads place lol his neighbors already are annoyed by my shell sittin there & how loud the exhaust on my GTP is lol

if anyone knows shipping for a front clip aprox id appreciate it

i am gonna grab the side mount from them too until i sell my GTPdid your motor come with everything to start it up? i mean EVERYTHING lol any hoses or wires or any lil thing you needed to finish it?

yes it came with EVERYThING. well maybe some little vaccum hoses werent on but lets not push it haha. u can get those at the parts store. either way it is recommended to get a new clutch, flywheel or resuface it at least. i promise u will have to run to the parts store a few times to get some things. and expect to waste more money onceu get it
