which comp. makes a good tire 2 drift with and is also a good street tire or dose it not matter? thanx Jason

Are you a beginner in drifting? If yes, get yourself some used 4 seasons tires or winter tires that you don't mind burning on the asphalt. After that, when you'll get good, you'll find yourself begging for more traction, so getting good tires. But at the begining, just concentrate to launch the car and keep it sideways, and have fun.

start out with some cheapos and if you have like i do around you. Theres a place near me that sells anytire they have for 10 bucks hehe if found so many half life drift tires they are awesome, once you improve you'll notice the difference. i know i did

I know someone makes a red tire that lets out red smoke when you drift.People laugh at me cause I have an open diff and only one cloud of red smoke.

Yeaup, it gives you +500 horsepower.But if you get the special pink tires, you get +550 horsepower and +10 to Agility.

foreal tho... you guys act like theres no such thing as drift tires.

Hell, even the Nismo Lancer Evolution Type R drifts in them.

i run dunlop direzza's. im gonna try the z1's this season as well. I hear maxxis and bridgestone aint bad either.

In all seriousness , i really liked my Dunlop Direzza DZ101's. Also , im finding that my new Hankook Ventus HR II's are really taking a beating and theres a ton of tread left.

Yep, the HR II's Have pretty good thread life. I heard kumo ecstas last pretty long too.

MaXXXis has a Z1 Drift branded tire. I'm pretty sure it's the one that Chris Forsberg uses on his Formula D car.
