Maybe this subject has been discussed, but I can't find anything. I was wondering how they got rid of the yellow section on the fastback taillights (non kouki taillights) on those drift cars. Getting rid of the yellow section looks clean in my opinion. Giving it one long, red, linear piece. Do they actually cut the light themselves or what? Please link me or give me the website if you know where i can get the info. Thanx

sup..thanx for the reply. But the kouki taillights are not what I'm talkin about. It's basically the stock usdm fastback taillights, but no yellow section. I don't mean...painted yellow section to red. The whole yellow section is like gone or cut out or wutever.....So it looks like one long even piece.

I know what your talking about, from what i can see it looks like the cut the bottoms off then filled. If your going to do something like that make sure to seal the taillights after your done cutting and whatnot.

you are talking about the KStyle/Team Ornage/APC 180sx truck. i think i have a picture so let me see if i can find one.i have seen them personally a few times and it looks like they cut the bottom yellow portion out of the tailight and then they just used fiberglass or bondo or some kind of crap to cover it all up.

im not trying to poo on your post but i dont think you would be able to leaglely drive that on the road without some kind of rear indicators. it sounds like it would be a huge pain, unless its just a show car. but i could be really confused.

you would just re wire your brakelights to flash.. several suv's have multi-purpose brakelights.

Which reminds me, i downloaded a drifting movie off of kazaa, it had a blue "k style truck" like the one cyberkreig posted, but it had silvia headlights instead of the pop up ones.

WOW..!!! Thanx y'll. You guys are awesome...:ylsuper. Thats exactly what i'm talkin about. Yes, like Cyberkreig says...im gonna rewire them. Those are DOPE lookin pix...:D. I have like 2 sets of these lights sitting around and I'm just gonna mess w/ em when i have time. Another sucky part is that you'd also have to fill in the body where the yellow sections were. I guess mold on a sheet of fiberglass or weld on something..?? But thanx a lot guys...payce

I saw those taillights at D1, and it looks like they just took a piece of metal and covered up the bottom part of the light and molded it in with the rest of the rear piece.

That wouldwork... but good luck taking your taillights out, hehe.
