Do you know of any events? Or anything? Close by? Any car meets? I cant really drive to far because I am waiting for my car to get retuned since I am only getting 65 miles to a full tank of premium gas. I havent really even drove the car since it was last tuned. Unfortunately I have to wait till mid april.

Street drifting is dangerous, take it to the track.

Besides don't post places like that PUBLICLY

Seriously just go for a drive, there are so many industrial areas and back roads in the hills its not even funny.

While its not drifting there is an autocross at the Camarillo airport in April if you wanna try legal racing Info here http://www.pcasb.org/

This is what I was looking for. I never hear of any events in this area. How often do they do autocross in camarillo? Are their ever any other events or websites I can check?

It sucks....not often enoughThe corvair club is out there maybe 2-3 times a year only, and just don't update their website (as in "Autocross results for Feb 2005 up soon!"). I think they are kinda a close knit group and do most stuff through their meetings, so its pretty hard to get updates on them...

Then Porsche club I linked to races out there, but again only a few times a year. Assuming I'm going next month(something catastrofic aside) it will be my first time with PCA and I think it will be better. The corvair guys did 4 runs, with 1 dollar untimed runs until they close it down, IIRC the Porsche guys run like 4 practice laps, then 4 race laps...

The only place I have been able to find with regular autox events is Cali speedway in Fontana, and I just haven't had the motivation to drive a few hours for autox (though there are a few Nico members that go, so if we could set something up I would be down)

But just to let you know cause Ive seen incidents in the past...The airport doesn't allow drifting, While you can't really get away with drifting at autox anyways the corvair guys would at least take it VERY seriously because they can loose the right to race there if they let it go on.

Thanks for the info. I am not really all about drifting. Although I do enjoy it, especially when I lived in okinawa. I just want to drive my car and have fun and not worry about getting in trouble for it.
