What happend? When we got there (around 6), we were told to turn around and leave becuase they closed the gates. We saw a few guys drifting, including a f-body that liked spinning hehe. A little disappointing, but hopefully we'll be allowed in for the next one.

I can't say I have ever had a better birthday than today.

1. 20 donuts and didn’t get in trouble.2. 14 inch rims with crazy offsets and tiny tires fit my car.3. My car actually smokes tires.4. I swear I didn't see that cone but I could hear it's screams.5. I drifted every turn. Too bad it took me close to 20 runs to say that.6. Who else can say that they were able to keep E-Town open in the rain and still get busy!7. I could just keep going on and on.

I can't wait to see some of the videos and pictures that were taken.

I will be at every event. I am hooked.

I would also like to send my thanks to all of the guys that got this event going. You did a great job and the day went off without a hitch.

really? that sucks, i got there around 5 ish and got in fine, it was pretty unorganized, i met up with skydragoness5 there, it was pretty fun but it got really wet and cold. there were a bunch of 240s there including one that i think was either turbo KA or SR20. Judging by the sound it was a KAT.

I got there at 4pm we waited and got to meet all of the people that were in the event.

This is me:

Nervous? Crazed? Happy to be drifting? I don't know but I scare myself with that picture. I swear that was the face I had on during each run. I am glad I had a full face helmet on.

hhahahahahaha

By that time most of the people running were already done with their first run and were starting to fool around.

I think the rain was starting to come down so that added to some of the confusion.

I thought it was all very good.

The guys were out there directing cars with umbrellas and keeping people happy.

Rain was actually pretty cool. I got to spin a lot faster with it on the ground and I was actually getting some runs with only 1 major screwup when we had to cut the night short.

NO! Stanbo! i love your notchback! it's very nice. i think i was pointing at your chuki signals when i was talking to matt (jspectuner) we got soaked and i was hungry. i was driving the white notchback w/ the TIAMAT front plate. it's too bad i didn't get there earlier to meet all of you. i did make it in the gates though (and thus paid) and i am definitely coming to the next one. i don't think i'll drift. but i'll do the gymkhana. (when i get my own helmet of course)and next time i will come early! i left DE late because i wanted to get my tires/rotated/balanced before i hit the highway.

yeah, stanbo, i really liked your car.

I think that one FC RX7 was the best at drifting, it really tore it up.

Thank you both. It looks really different with those rims on it. I will keep them on for another day or two and put back on the SE rims.

The FC was tearing it up. That silver WRX was moving.

I felt bad for the Camaro. I noticed he had no tread before we got in to start.

The guy in the camaro was my friend adam and having bald tires he hydroplaned on the Belt pkwy and spun out on the way home haha hes fine tho. Hey guys i am matt the dude who runs this thing.. I want to thank all the people who came out .. It was really hard to keep stuff organized in the rain and confusion.. the second one will be better if the weather is nice.. I want to clarify some stuff for you all.. 1st most people huddled by the tent.. there is actually spectator spots by the bleachers.. you get a way better view..

2nd the black FC is owned by one of our workers and serious ripper Chris foresburg.. he will be available next event for Ride alongs if you want someone to critique your style or give you tips..

3rd the white beemer was piloted also by DGTA's own Tony angelo.. That beemer is his MOMs .. Nuff said..

4th i want to see more people driving next time..

5th.. sorry some of you didn't get in... we knew by the first 5 minutes we were closing.. we just wanted the guys who were there for hours waiting to get some runs.. Some drove from VA and MD you cant send that kind of commitment home after they drove a long time.

6th.. This is for learning.. there will be no making fun of or whatever we have been into drifting for a long while and i still suck.. it takes practice.. lots of it.. you dont need fancy motors or suspension to do this just an extra set of rims..and tires also a helmet.

7th.. we worked hard to get this accepted ..it is first of its kind around here.. we need support and cooperation and this will spread like fire.. we are already planning FL and MA drift events.. This "series" at englishtown will pave the way to get us road track time for drifting.. if you thought it was fun before just wait..

If you guys want to contact me or get on our mailing list please email me at [email protected]

check our website for info on the next event.. http://www.dgtrials.com

Stan Email me !!! we got to talk.. If you guys want to comment on ways to make this more fun talk to me at events or emai me.. I am the one with the corolla coupe and the sleeve of tatoosthanks Matt Petty

I know you needed support, thats why i started this thread ;)

I wanted to run but i dont have a helmet yet, you can expect me to be on the track next time (hopefully i'll have my SR20DET in too :D )!!!

it was alot of fun, or should i say, it was fun enough for me to stand in the rain for 2 hours watching (i got soaked because i couldn't get close enough to the tent)

I hope you visit the NICO boards often to keep us updated and give insight into drifting.

yeah, pre register if you can. If you can see why its 100 bucks thinkg about it like this....most events are like 25-50 dollars...and you get MAYBE if very lucky about 30 minutes of seat time. This event is going on ALL day and is limited, so you will get the maximum seat time possible. Its going to straight rock. I am already planning what i have to do to get there, I would make any plans you need to know if you can.
