some of the motors have been swapped in. On US soil, Sr20det and Vg30eT have been dropped in.

The issue you will run into with putting a bigger motor, or even the ET motor, is that the turbo will hit the steering rack.

Welcome to NICO!!!

The F31 is basically a Z31 with some 240 stuff thrown in for good measure... You can do any engine swap you want, but the steering column is gonna be your biggest problem... The engine bay is big enough to accept about all you want..

couple other things.. but i'm pretty sure a cross member and mounts. In Japan, a guy imported an M30 and dropped in a RB25det.

the M30 doesnt have the demand as a 240, if you want to build a drift car, I'd suggest a 240 because of the available parts and plenty of it around.

You mess up some body parts off an M30, you might be stuck paying out the ying yang for it.. not to many junkyards have M30s.

Plus the M30 was a heavy car, 3400 lbs... compared to a nimble and light S chassis, you cant go wrong...

why get an M30? build something different. just you have to pay more for the maint on the car and parts (since there aint none in the US).

Coverting to manual transmission is a good place to start. I'm not sure if VG33ER will fit do to supercharger height but it's a possiblity other posibilities I would guess would be VG30DE. JDM M30s(Leopards) come with VG30DET that would probably be the easiest and best powerplant to put in it. But I agree with Driftkaztik you are gonna have hell of a time trying to find parts repair it when crash it.

the vg33eR (pathfinder) would be awesome, but yes, hood clearance is an issue.. but nothing a cut a hole wouldnt solve.

yes, the Nissan Leopard in Japan is what the US M30 was. Besides some slight differences (M30s are kouki Leopards) the headlights and bumpers (there are a few)are a bit different.

As for parts, Z31 engine and transmission are best for stock VG30E stuff. You can drop a turbo from those years. To convert the suspension, you'll need to get 240 parts and do some swaps of the LCA and knuckles, tie rods and such.

I have a few leopard stuff on my car. Headlights/emblems/ whole lip kit (working on the front and rear parts)
