Today, after having it serviced, i've just sat down in the driver's seat when i notice my parking brake isnt engaged. being on a level area i just drove off. When i got back to my home and ready to park on my steep graded hill and i slid the drift-knob-button* up with my thumb and immediately no resistance. usually an audible noise is heard when the knob is locking or unlocking the parking brake, but not this time.

the only question in this thread is: has someone broken their parking brake while installing/opperating the drift-turn-knob, and if so how can i fix it?

i have searched, looked for diagrams, even went thru my fsm's and i cannot find any information about the actual handle.

*If you are not familiar with the drift-turn-knob it is basically a cap that fits over the release button of your parking brake, after you release the internal spring actually INSIDE the stamped-metal parking-brake assembly.
