I feel stupid asking this question but..

If the drift "spin turn" style ebrake buttons dont have to be pushed down.. so the ebrake handle just moves up & down/doesnt lock...

how do you park your car?

I imagine you just unscrew the knob when you need to park.

What you do is you push the nob out and turn it. Then it locks into place. Got a friend who has one.

Yeah, just pull the spin turn knob then it locks just like normal knob.

As for e-brake for drifing.Well, yes a good drifter shifts weight to initiate drift, however E-brake is a must if you want to be a top drifter.ever seen long drifting says 50 meter before turn?D1 driver "Nomuken San" can pull a 80 meter long drift before turn simply using the e-brake!!E-brake is the trick, you can also use it to fine-tune drift angle.Well, later

What kind of knob does he have? I have a CUSCO knob and it doesn't turn to lock in place or anything. I don't see how any drift spin turn knob can do that. It's just like a stick-on cap thingy with a lip so you can pull it out so it can lock. Fully functional to park on streets and whatever. Just make sure the e brake is all the way up and the knob is fully extended outward. That's all there is to it.

umm this isnt on the subject but i have to know something. exactly how do you drift? i tried practicing difting but i have no idea what i am doing. there is a area around my neighborhood were houses are being built so igo around there and pull my handbrake and try to drift when i turn at about 40 miles per hour. umm all that happens is i hear a soft screeching noise and my car kinda goes sideways and i believe the weight shifts to the sidei am drifting towards. but yeah thats pretty much it. and also i wana know is it just less fun for me because my car is a front wheel drive?????????

FWD is plenty fun too. K, you should find a dirt road to learn the effects of weight transfer... what you are looking for is fore and aft weight transfer while braking and accelerating, and not the side to side weight transfer while turning. You should be trying to feel the rear wheels getting light under braking, which lets the tail step out while turning, It is much easier to notice on dirt, and less likely you'll hurt yourself or the car because you'll be slower.

To begin, since you have an auto FWD, you can try left foot braking to start - it has the same effect as E-braking in a FWD. The foot brake should be easier to modulate, it is more sensitive than the side brake. While turning, with the right foot down on the gas, left foot goes on the brake for more tail out. If you loose it (back end swings out too far) just let off the brake but keep on the gas to get the tail back in line. It takes practice to train your left foot to have the proper sensitivity for this.

IMHO any car, FWD or RWD, mods or no mods, can drift.

I haven't looked at my friends ebrake in a while so it might not turn but I know you pull it out to lock it into place.

No prob. man and upon asking him It does indeed just pull out. I must have imagined the turn part or the name threw me off. He said it worked great on a 180 turn at the autocross.

I've never bought from them, but they have 20 dollar drift spin whatever knobs. Looks pretty decent.
